Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's Vincent Valentine, a fan-favorite character, is now set to be voiced by the renowned voice actor Matthew Christopher Miller, famously known as Matt Mercer. This exciting revelation was officially announced via the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Twitter account, and Mercer himself expressed his gratitude on Twitter, acknowledging the overwhelming positivity surrounding the news. He said, "A year of dreams culminates with this one. No game has had the impact on me quite like FF7 did, and to be a part of it, let alone one of my favorite characters, is an honor beyond words." Mercer added, "Thank you all for the energy."

Matt Mercer is a highly regarded voice actor known for his work in a multitude of anime series and lending his voice to several beloved video game characters. His repertoire includes Ganondorf from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 6, Jack Cooper in Titanfall 2, MacCready in Fallout 4, as well as Chrom and Ryoma in Fire Emblem, among many others.

In the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake - Rebirth, Vincent Valentine, the iconic former Turk from the original Final Fantasy VII, will make an appearance as a non-playable character. While he won't be playable in Rebirth, it's anticipated that he may become a playable character in the subsequent installment of the Remake.
